The World Climate Conference begins in Dubai in just under three weeks. Will it become a farce? The conference president is an oil manager – and he has a suicidal plan for climate policy. Thanks to McKinsey.

Here are a few news stories that didn’t get too much attention this week:

  • Australia apparently plans to offer asylum to the entire population of the Pacific nation of Tuvalu because their homeland will sink into the sea.
  • The month of October 2023 was the warmest globally in human history , as were September and August. At the moment, 2023 is 1.43 degrees warmer than it was on Earth before industrialization.
