With around two weeks to go before the start of the COP28 in the United Arab Emirates, the main priorities for those climate talks are coming into sharper focus.

For industry, an important conversation to watch is the continuing, deepening push for agreement on phasing out fossil fuels. Expect this to be a major priority from climate advocates, but a complementary goal for tripling renewables capacity by 2030 is seen as less restrictive and holds far better odds of finding consensus.
